For outgoing calls, you would need to consider 2 things. First, is a money pool. This will pay for phone calls not qualifying with your calling plan. Next will be a calling plan. You do not have to have an outgoing call plan, but if you were to need to make phone calls, you would then spend money in your pool. If you think you would be making calls (even to toll-free numbers), you would want to consider at least the 120 minute plan. If you exceed your allotted minutes, or making an international call, you would be using from the money pool. I would recommend adding at least $10USD, and have it auto-refill if you drop below $5USD. This way, you would always have funds available. The North America Basic is $2USD for 120 outgoing minutes. The World Select Residential is $29.95 and intended for non-commercial services only. The World Select Residential plan will give you unlimited calling to US, and Canada + select other countries. No matter which plan you choose, if you followed my instructions so far, you would always have unlimited incoming calls.
