07: Setup Rules

Once you got your voicemail setup, login to Callcentric. The first thing you would want to do is go to the Phone Book section. While you could add your contacts in this phone book, and even setup speed dials for those numbers – that will be beyond the scope of this site. Instead, you would want to create a SPAM group. You would then enter every telephone number that you do not want ringing your phone. Set them in the SPAM group. This might not make sense now, but it will as we go along this page.

Now you will want to go to Call Treatments. These are the rules that you would want to setup. If you do what I would do, then this is vital. Go in the same order that I went here. Therefore, the first rule will be on top of the rules. This gives this particular rule priority over the rules beneath it. This is why SPAM-Voicemail is number 1 for the rules, and Incoming Calls is at the last treatment. For the time frame, all of your rules needs to be from Sunday 12:00AM to Saturday 11:59PM. The rules are as follows:

SPAM-Voicemail

This is your top rule. It should be on top of all other rules. On the main section, set up the destination to go to voicemail on Ext 100. Extension 100 is the default extension, and the only extension if you only haven’t setup any others. In the Additional Options section, you would want to Number in my phone book, and select SPAM group. Everything else in that section will be left alone. For Comments, type SPAM-Voicemail

Anon-Voicemail

If you don’t want anonymous callers, then this rule should be next in the list. You would then want to redirect call to voicemail and ext 100. In the Additional Options section, you would want to select From Anonymous/Private. Everything else should remain the same. In comments, type ACR. ACR stands for Anonymous Caller Rejection.

Not Online

In the main section, you would want to go to voicemail on Ext 100. In the Additional Options section, you would want to select Not Registered under Status. This will mean if your client, or device can not connect with Callcentric for any reason, the caller will go to voicemail. For comments, you would want to type Not Online.

Incoming Calls

Now, it is time to create your incoming calls rule. In the main section, you will want Call Hunting and send the call to your extension for 15 seconds. At the bottom of that section, select voicemail for extension 100. In the Additional Options section, you would leave everything be. For comments, type Incoming Calls.
